Creativity is...

Creativity is 'The Process of finding and implementing new and appropriate ways of doing things.' or
'The intentional and purposeful search for innovation in problem solving.'

Creativity is expressed through actions, and ultimately outcomes, which themselves are seen as creative. Those of us who are able to continually express our creativity successfully are sometimes called cretive people.

Note that creativity is different to talent which is about being able to perform well within a specific domain without necessarily the ability to innovate.

Spare time to do some self reflection...are we creative or talented?

Share it with us...

Curriculum or Creativity or...Curriculum of Creativity?

There has been a long debate over being stick to curriculum for safety reasons or to creativity for effective learning? Perhaps the challenge teachers are facing in our schools is how we can provide a 'curriculum of creativity' especially for young people.

So, what we need to discuss about how to encourage creativity in the classrooms and schools, to enhance learning for better understanding of the curriculum and for success in examination, but also, vitally, to promote lifelong learning habits. It's about creativity as an essential attribute of human nature and human excellence.

Are you dare to give more room for creativity in the classroom?

Creativity is Vital

Creativity can be argued to be the 'be all and end all' of education, but for sure, there are at least three important roles in the contemporary classrooms:
1. Creativity supports the motivation of the increasingly expectant and demanding young people we meet in our classrrom
2. Creativity encourages the development of complex and important problem-solving skills which we believe all young people need in order to become proactive and useful citizens, employees and employers
3. We believe that cerativity is an innately human capacity and intensely rewarding experince, which makes it worthin in its own right.
